What does it mean to leave a legacy?

For nearly 50 years, The Washington Ballet has brought the transformative power of dance to audiences across Washington and beyond, creating a city that sees itself reflected on our stages and a community strengthened through movement, artistry, and shared cultural experiences.

As we celebrate a remarkable 2025/26 Season marked by sold-out performances, record-breaking attendance, and growing community engagement, your support helps ensure we close this season strong and enter our milestone 50th Anniversary with momentum.

Thanks to the generosity of Board Member Luanne Adams and Murrell Smith, every contribution made by June 30 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $250,000, doubling the impact of your gift and helping sustain every part of our mission.

Your investment supports:

  • world-class training and performance opportunities for students at The Washington School of Ballet;
  • expands programs that bring movement and connection to young students and individuals living with Parkinson’s disease across our community; and
  • helps bring the artistry and stories audiences love to life on Washington’s most iconic stages for the next 50 years.
Every gift, at every level, strengthens our ability to inspire, educate, and connect through dance, ensuring that The Washington Ballet’s legacy continues for generations to come.
